Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Support

Many children and young people experience emotional concerns at some point in their childhood, and in some cases children may suffer from mild to severe mental health problems.

An online Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health pathway is available at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ewb to help provide children, parents/carers and professionals with access to information and advice in one place, about local services and what support is available.

Children in Lincolnshire aged 11-18 (or up to age 25 for care leavers or young people with SEND) can get online counselling support through Kooth, by going to www.kooth.com. Kooth is a safe and confidential online counselling and support service staffed by fully trained and qualified counsellors.

Healthy Minds Lincolnshire provides emotional wellbeing support to children and young people up to age (or up to 25 for care leavers or young people with SEND). Trained practitioners provide early support when issues arise in the hope of preventing mental health problems arising in the future. e.g. exam stress, worries, low mood, low body image, self-harm, relationship difficulties, low self-confidence. Healthy Minds Lincolnshire is delivered by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust through a partnership agreement on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council, www.lpft.nhs.uk/our-services/specialist-services/healthy-minds-lincolnshire

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides help and support for Lincolnshire’s children and young people from birth to their 18th birthday (or up to age 24 for care leavers) who need specialist support, and for their families and carers. This service is provided by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust www.lpft.nhs.uk/our-services/specialist-services/camhs.
